Financial Controller – Luxury Resort, Turks & Caicos

About the role

This senior finance position leads the financial function of a premier luxury resort and suite hotel in Turks & Caicos. Reporting to the General Manager and Group CFO, the Financial Controller ensures financial integrity, reporting and strategic support for both hotel operations and owner/strata interests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the resort’s finance and accounting function, maintaining high standards of control, reporting and compliance.
• Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and P&L analysis in line with USALI.
• Manage all hotel accounting areas including A/P, A/R, general ledger, credit & collections, income audit, inventory, payroll, costing and financial reporting.
• Supervise strata, condominium‑hotel and rental‑owner accounting, preparing owner statements, revenue allocations, expenses and distributions.
• Partner with the General Manager and executive team on performance analysis, cost management, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Prepare and present financial information to ownership, boards, investors and strata councils.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team while driving continuous improvement of processes, controls and systems.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level finance experience in luxury Caribbean or island resorts, preferably with condominium/strata components.
• Proven track record in owner/strata accounting and presenting results to owners, boards or investors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a professional designation (CPA, CA, ACCA or CMA).
• Strong knowledge of USALI and hotel financial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams.
